[ it's been a long time coming, hasn't it? hell, even snow's kind of surprised they've actually made it this far. there had never been a doubt in his mind that he would eventually marry serah, but after all that's happened... it's a dream come true.

the suit and tie, not so much, but serah had insisted--and even though light's given her blessing, she'd have his head on a platter if he denied serah anything on her wedding day. so, he'd folded--much like he does, often, when it comes to serah.

lightning was right: he's utterly whipped.

it's a good thing he can at least loosen his tie and toss his jacket to the side. he takes a seat on the edge of the bed, hands set on his knees, as he waits for serah... his wife.

... whenever she comes out, he's definitely grinning like an idiot. ]

[ it really has been a long time coming, with far too many roadblocks ( fortresses, honestly ) along the way. with so much grief and destruction in their lives, they truly deserve this one happiness: finally being with each other in the way they are meant to be.

the engagement itself had been rushed in the wake of fear, but serah believes their love is time tested. even lightning would agree. and as they all know, time is precious. they can't wait a moment longer. their day is nothing short of perfect, as simple as it is, surrounded by the important people in their lives, people they have come to care about deeply.

flushed after being carried into their room – in snow's arms, that'll never get old – serah rids herself of some of her accessories, bracelets, earrings, necklace, leaving on a single, simple ring that she admires in the light. after hastily freshening up, she reemerges, looking on a little more casual in her wedding dress with fabric petals sewn into the mid-length skirt. the new bride still looks luminous when she turns the corner, barefooted with her rose colored hair finally loose around her shoulders.

without hesitation, she smiles and reaches for the hands of her husband. ] Hi.

[ snow accepts her easily, seamlessly, and he draws her into his arms. she's small, so small, from the crown of her head to her shoulders to her feet. but snow knows very well how much weight those shoulders have carried. serah farron--villiers, now--is strong, strong beyond her years and more than people expect.

he gives her a kiss. his wife is beautiful, radiant, and if he could spend the rest of his days with her in his arms, he would.

they have their whole lives ahead of them, though, and snow's looking forward to it. as much confidence as he has, he knows that surely he wouldn't have near as much bravado if it weren't for serah. ]

Hey. [ another kiss, and he threads his fingers through her hair. ] Missed you.

[ she is not as soft as she used to be, hardened over the years, but his mere presence still makes her melt, warmth spreading over every inch of her as she slips right into his lap. each kiss is eagerly reciprocated, sweet and lingering. ]

You missed me? [ serah giggles softly, blowing her bangs out of her eyes to beam at him. but instead of pointing out that they were just looking at each other a second ago, she adds, ] I always miss you.

[ cupping his face with both hands, her eyes flick over his features, memorizing them for the millionth time. ] Husband, [ she tests the word out on her tongue, liking how that feels. ]
